Give a Child an Education
Dear Friends,
This project was originally set up to help fund the education of Joseph
and Michael Buule who were the two sons of an Anglican Evangelist Rev
Christopher Buule who unfortunately died some years ago. Christopher had
been supported through Bible College by Siloam, and we assisted him with
his ministry working among the churches in Uganda when he returned with
his wife Margaret. Two years ago, Margaret also died leaving the two boys
as orphans. Siloam continues to send support to help the education of
Michael and Joseph Buule through friends in Northern Ireland who have
contact with them personally. In addition to this, Siloam also helps support
the advanced education of a number of girls in Uganda by arranging for
funds to be made available for higher education purposes. Education for
university fees are quite expensive and beyond the means of most individual
supporters. Therefore much of this ministry has up to now, been funded
from Siloam's general fund to help with the cost of the girl's higher
education expenses.
Education fees for one child at university are almost £1,000 per
annum but at the present time, Siloam has 3 young ladies in the programme
benefiting from these grants. Sponsors are invited to come forward to
help with this project in the future.
If you would like to enter into a commitment to
sponsor an underprivileged child, please write
or email
us with your details, advising us of your choice of which sex and approximate
age of a child and we will try to match him/her with your requirements
in mind.
